公元1645年，清军已经占领明朝半壁江山，南明隆武帝退守福建。当时的台湾被荷兰人占领，国家有难之机，皇帝（徐敏 饰）招见郑森（赵文卓 饰），赐名“成功”，任御营中军都督。由于父亲郑芝龙（杜志国 饰）在反清复明中与皇帝意见相左，隆武帝封郑成功为招讨大将军，赴边关探查军情。十几年后，荷兰人统治下的台湾民不聊生，不断有不甘被盘剥的百姓逃奔而至，郑成功決定收复台湾。一六六一年春末，郑成功率200艘战舰进攻台湾，在何斌的帮助下，郑军绕过鹿门岛浅海，两万多人出其不意地出现在荷军面前，荷兵仓皇应战，并将薛良等数名百姓押做人质，声言若郑军不撤就杀人质。何斌欲换薛良遭荷兵打死，薛良随即跳城而亡，郑成功见状怒发冲冠......。Welcome back, Chibi Godzilla. Hakata gurentai is his first feature and last 8mm film. Haven't watched it yet myself, but from the looks of it, this is very much reminescent of eighties and nineties v-cinema, sort of like early Miike (only made in 1978). There is considerably more dialogue than in his earlier films, but it doesn't seem too complicated plotw...。
